Pinto 3:00 Games: Most 1:30 games were started and then called due to rain and poor conditions. Kenilworth PeeWee field is still playable but you may want to consider calling the game due to poor weather conditions - it is up to the coaches......

Pinto League Games Are Still On!!!!
As of noon today (Sunday), we are still on for our Pinto games. Obviously, we are just hanging on and some rain may roll in. Please note, it is cold today so you might want consider a jacket for your child.
Important: Please make sure a parent stays at the game today. There is a chance we could begin play and then run into some rain. If we run into rain during the game, we will need to suspend play. Everyone would then need to leave the fields for home. e.g. game starts at 1:30 and rain starts at 1:45 suspending play - your child then needs to leave the field at 1:45 not 3:00.
Thanks,
Andy, Scott and Bob

10-year-old tryouts will be OUTDOORS
Today's second day of 10-year-old travel tryouts will be held outside, rain or shine. We find it is critical to be able to see players perform outdoors, on a true baseball diamond, in order to properly gauge their abilities.
IMPORTANT INFO:
-Be sure to have your child arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled slot time. That means the first shift (M-Z) should be there no later than 1:15 and the second shift (A-L) no later than 2:45.
-The tryouts will be based at diamond #5 at the Winnetka fields.
-Every child should be dressed appropriately for playing in the possible rain.
-Every child should be wearing a protective cup.
Thanks,
KWBA Bulldog Travel Committee

Attention Pee Wee teams
This is just a reminder that this week's Pee Wee practices at Northfield are being run by John Fix of the Strike Zone. Should weather make fields unusable, the teams assigned to Northfield this week will have their practices moved indoors to the Northfield Strike Zone facilities (287 Northfield Rd, right behind Dominicks).

Reminder about weather hotline protocols
Good morning, everyone. The sun is shining and fields look like they're in good shape for today.
However, we want you to remember the way KWBA policy works. We follow a "no news is good news" policy. So, in general, we will not update this weather blog if field conditions are good. We will only use this blog to notify you of closures and delays.

Northfield Park District Update: #2 and #3 are ok, a little moist but should be fine for practice. We worked hard on #1 and it may dry out by 5pm but if you can have the coaches use their judgment there that would be best, outfield is ok if nothing else. I left a rake inside the dugout of #1 just in case.
